MODULE 6 - RVU TECHNOLOGY

In this module, we will share a few of the online tools available at RVU and how to use them. We recognize that some of this information (e.g. iNet, Teams) may not be as useful until you are assigned an e-mail address and can access them, so we encourage you to come back to this module again after you have been assigned an e-mail address (1st week of July). For now, just consider this  "heads-up" information!

MyVista and Navigating to your Coursework

Student Doctor Telyn Peterson walks students through how to find useful course information in the RVU Learning Management System called MyVista. New students should already be familiar with logging in and getting around as they've worked with the Admissions Office. For any questions relating to MyVista in the future, please contact the Help Desk

Getting Around the Intranet (iNet)

The iNet is the "intranet" at RVU and provides useful information, as well as a repository for many of the forms used by students to conduct transactions (e.g. reimbursement requests, room requests, excused absences forms, etc). Check out the video on the left to learn more. You will be contacted prior to the Fall semester with your login information. For any questions relating to the iNet in the future, please contact the Ivins Help Desk uthelpdesk@rvu.edu

Microsoft Teams

RVU students use this platform for communicating in smaller groups and as the primary means of sharing both academic and non-academic information. You will receive login information prior to Orientation. As you begin using this program, check out this FAQs Page.

I plan to integrate Anki into my day to day studying (gain more proficiency with the software). I also intend to use UWorld as well.

I’ve heard Anki is useful. I still need to download it.

Yes, I intend to utilize Anki to study, and my Ipad for note-taking.
