[May 27, 2021 – Parker, CO]

Rocky Vista University (RVU) is pleased to announce the appointment of David Forstein, DO, FACOOG, as President. Dr. Forstein, who joined RVU as the University’s Inaugural Provost in November 2020, will succeed Dr. Clint Adams, who will be retiring as President at the end of the 2021 academic year.

“We are thrilled that Dr. Forstein will be guiding RVU as we continue our leadership in osteopathic medical education and work to meet the need for skilled medical professionals,” said Maha Sallam, PhD, Board Chair for Rocky Vista University. “He has demonstrated remarkable leadership over the last six months and played an integral role in furthering RVU’s academic excellence, campus expansion efforts, and diversity, equity, and inclusion program developments. With a proven track record of success and dedication to championing RVU’s mission, we are confident Dr. Forstein is ideally suited to drive the University’s next phase of growth.”

Dr. Sallam added, “We are grateful for Dr. Adams’ leadership over the last six years in helping to establish RVU as a clear leader in osteopathic medical education, and we wish him well in his retirement.”

“It is a tremendous honor to help lead this prestigious University in partnership with our new Dean, Dr. Heather Ferrill, and the rest of the talented leadership team at RVU,” said Dr. Forstein. “RVU has made great strides establishing a leading platform for driving student success, and I look forward to furthering our mission of achieving innovation and excellence in education.”

As a renowned leader in the world of osteopathic medical education, Dr. Forstein has spent his career working with students, faculty, and staff to help advance medical careers. Prior to his time at RVU, Dr. Forstein most recently served as Dean and Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology (OB/GYN) at Touro College of Osteopathic Medicine – Harlem, New York Campus.
