RVU Montana Celebrates DO Day 2024
RVU Montana and the Montana Osteopathic Medical Association (MOMA) hosted an event with Mayor Bill Cole declaring June 4, 2024, as DO Day in Billings. This occasion was highlighted by a special program featuring distinguished speakers and guests, aiming to acknowledge the contributions of Doctors of Osteopathic Medicine (DOs) and the critical role they play in the healthcare community.
The program was emceed by MOMA President Dorothy Sizemore, DO, with several speakers from RVU Montana. The keynote address was delivered by Ira P. Monka, DO, FACOFP dist., President of the American Osteopathic Association (AOA). Representing over 186,000 osteopathic physicians and medical students across the United States, the AOA is the leading national organization for the osteopathic profession. Dr. Monka’s remarks highlighted the pivotal role of osteopathic physicians in modern medicine and the importance of advocacy and leadership within the medical community.
