RVU Early Decision Program Offers Accelerated Path for DO Applicants
Why Early Decision?
Rocky Vista University (RVU) is proud to introduce an Early Decision Program for students applying to the Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine programs. This program, offered across all three campuses, provides a streamlined admissions pathway for highly qualified applicants who consider RVU their first-choice medical school.
Early Decision streamlines the admissions process and allows eligible students to receive a decision earlier in the cycle. This helps reduce stress, save time, and minimize the financial burden of students applying to multiple schools. This gives prospective students more clarity and confidence. It also helps RVU enroll mission-aligned applicants and manage incoming classes more strategically.
Jaime Bazemore, Director of Enrollment Management, emphasized the program’s benefits: “Applying to medical school can be a long and costly process. Our Early Decision Program gives students who know RVU is the right fit a chance to secure their seat sooner, reducing uncertainty and allowing them to focus on their next steps toward becoming a physician. At the same time, this approach helps us identify and support mission-driven applicants who align with RVU’s values.”

How It Works
To apply, students must submit a verified application by July 15 and opt-in for “Early Decision” consideration. If an applicant meets the program requirements and is selected, they may either receive a waived interview and an admissions decision by August 15 or an interview invite by August 1, followed by an admissions decision by September 15. If applicants aren’t selected for Early Decision, RVU will review their application during the regular admissions cycle. Participation in the program may be limited based on class size capacity at each campus.
There is no additional fee to apply for this program beyond the standard application fees. Accepted students must confirm their seat and pay the non-refundable deposit within 30 days, with the deposit applied toward tuition upon enrollment.
