Dear RVU Community:

Hopefully by now you are settling into your new routine and adhering to the guidelines provided by public health officials and the RVU COVID-19 Response Team.

The Response Team has been meeting on a daily basis since last week to ensure RVU remains functional while keeping our community safe. Below is a summary of recent updates and initiatives:

• The RVU campus is now on Restricted Access. This means that employees and students will not have access to RVU facilities during this period. Only a few essential individuals (employees and vendors) are allowed in the building to maintain operational capability but are required to complete a screening and attestation process each day for access to the building. These individuals are also strongly encouraged to telecommute and only come to campus if necessary.
• The RVU Response Team will not medically evaluate RVU employees or students. Medical intervention is not a charge of the Response Team. The medical officers on the team will only conduct screening interviews for essential personnel requesting campus access. Anyone feeling ill or concerned that they have been exposed to the novel coronavirus should call their primary care physician or the state health department for medical advice or to see if testing is recommended.
• All scheduled in-person activities (including graduation) and all on-campus events are cancelled through May 31.  We will continuously monitor the situation and provide notification when normal activities are expected to resume.
• The Response Team will host a Town Hall for all interested RVU students on Thursday at noon via Zoom. Employees are also welcome to attend as well.
