Bio

Dr. Wardle grew up in central California. He received his Bachelor of Science degree in Zoology (Pre-Med) from Brigham Young University and his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from Touro University College of Osteopathic Medicine – CA. He also has a Masters in International Health.  After falling in love with the Beehive State, Dr. Wardle completed a residency at Utah Valley Family Medicine, followed by a fellowship in Rural Medicine and Faculty Development.

His professional career started in full-spectrum rural family medicine in Sanpete County, UT with Intermountain Healthcare. There he balanced Hospital, ER, OB, and clinic duties, held community health challenges, and participated in health fairs. After transitioning to Utah County, Dr. Wardle practiced urgent care and outpatient family medicine. Throughout his medical career, Dr. Wardle has always enjoyed teaching and mentoring students. After a medical trip to Honduras in 2018 where he supervised and mentored several osteopathic medical students, he realized he wanted to teach full-time and joined RVU later that fall. “RVUCOM-UT was not only in a perfect location for us,” said Dr. Wardle, “but the vision and values of RVU and their commitment to the students was an undeniable draw to me.”

Dr. Wardle is married, and has five children. Outside of enjoying time with family, Dr. Wardle likes to stay active with hikes, running, swimming, and more. He also enjoys music and learning languages. A little-known fact about Dr. Wardle is that he juggles…balls, clubs, knives, torches, and more! In his rural medicine days, he would juggle in the town’s Fourth of July Parade.
