Bio

Jing Gao, M.D., FAIUM earned her doctor of medicine in 1976 and Chinese traditional medicine in 1980 in China. After completing a year-long post-doctoral fellowship at the China Medical University and serving for 4 years as an attending physician in the Department of Ultrasound in China, she came to the US as a visiting assistant professor of Radiology. She participated in clinical ultrasound services, teaching radiology residents and medical students, and research in the Department of Radiology, Weill Cornell Medicine of Cornell University for more than 25 years.

She had research grant awarded by NIH and Weill Cornell Medicine. She has published a book, 3 book chapters, and 60 peer reviewed articles. She is an editorial board member in journals of Clinical imaging and Ultrasound in Medicine and Biology. She is also a reviewer for several medical journals. She lectured and presented in the international and national ultrasound conferences many times. She still has her adjunct professorships in Weill Cornell Medicine and medical universities in China. Her goal is to contribute her knowledge and experience to ultrasound in medical education and research. Dr. Gao is currently an Associate Professor of Ultrasound at RVU. She is a fellow in the American Institute of Ultrasound in Medicine (AIUM).
