Dr. David Forstein, a distinguished Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology, brings a wealth of experience to his role as the President & CEO of Rocky Vista University. Board-certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology, and Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility, Dr. Forstein’s career has been marked by a commitment to medical education and leadership.

Prior to joining RVU, Dr. Forstein served as the Dean and Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Touro College of Osteopathic Medicine – Harlem Campus. His extensive experience includes roles as Residency Director and Associate Professor of OB/GYN at the University of South Carolina School of Medicine and Clerkship Director at Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine (PCOM).

Dr. Forstein is a prominent figure in the osteopathic medical world, having chaired the American Osteopathic Association’s Commission on Osteopathic College Accreditation and served on the board of Directors of the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education. He is also a Past President of the American College of Osteopathic Obstetricians and Gynecologists.

Currently serving on the Board of Directors of the National Board of Osteopathic Medical Examiners and the Association of Professors of Gynecology and Obstetrics, Dr. Forstein continues to contribute significantly to the advancement of medical education. His commitment is further reflected in his role as a member of the Editorial Board of the Journal of Minimally Invasive Gynecology.

Dr. Forstein’s clinical faculty appointments at various institutions, including Clemson University School of Health Research, University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey – School of Osteopathic Medicine, Edward Via College of Osteopathic Medicine, and Jefferson Medical College, underscore his dedication to shaping the future of healthcare through education.
