March 20, 2020 | COVID-19 RT Update Dear RVU Community: This has been a challenging week for all of us. Offices and classrooms are empty and the halls of RVU are quiet as students and most employees have transitioned to their new (hopefully very temporary) reality of working and studying from home. A few items to bring to your attention are as follows: Effective Monday morning, March 23rd, only essential personnel who absolutely must be on campus, will be allowed access to the RVU buildings. March 19, 2020 | Presidential Update: RVU’s Response to COVID-19 Dear RVU Employees, RVU is committed to keeping the members of its community safe and to abide by the guidelines issued by the federal Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Therefore, in consultation with the COVID-19 Response Team, the decision has been made that all employees aside from the few listed on the essential personnel list who absolutely must have physical to access to the campus, will be expected to work remotely and will no longer have access to the building until further notification. This will go into effect at 12:01 AM Monday, March 23, 2020. In order to maintain our support for the faculty to continue curricular delivery by definition Rocky Vista is not closed nor do we plan to suspend all the important functions and deadlines necessary to keep us on target for accreditation, budget submissions and the many unfinished projects we all have on our to do list. March 17, 2020 | A Message from the President Dear RVU Community, At Rocky Vista University, the safety and well being of our students, faculty and staff are our top priority. Following recommendations from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and other authorities, RVU has implemented several measures to address the growing concerns over the coronavirus pandemic. As of Monday, March 16, RVU has transitioned to a remote learning plan to deliver courses to all of our students. In keeping with RVU’s Mission and Core Values, we will strive to assist students from all three of our programs in the successful completion of their curriculum. We are cognizant of the hands-on learning environment for our students and faculty, and will maintain active communication in regards to laboratory sessions and other events. RVU has enacted a temporary telecommuting guideline for all employees, which has been recommended by the CDC as an effective infection controls strategy for the coronavirus. All RVU-sponsored international travel continues to be banned, and all RVU-sponsored domestic travel will be considered on a case-by-case basis if the trip does not entail a close gathering of multiple people. March 15, 2020 | RVU Situation Update Dear RVU Employees, Thank you for your outstanding support and commitment to keep us safe while assuring we maintain our standards of excellence and do everything in our power to have on time course and programmatic completions. If you are planning to return to campus on Monday, please be reminded to take these important preventive precautions for your personal safety and the safety of our community. Stay home if you are sick. If you are ill or feel you may have been exposed to the coronavirus, please stay home and observe the following protocol: Employees are to contact their direct supervisor immediately. The supervisor will then contact HR (Patty Gordon in CO and Kristin Shute in UT) who will then contact the Response Team as necessary. Protect yourself and others. Regularly wash hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds. Use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer in between hand washes. March 13, 2020 | Clinical Rotations Update Since my last communication to you, Intermountain Health Care, in consultation with administrations of all Utah based Nursing and Medical Schools, has decided to limit student participation in Operating Room activities due to limitations in PPE resources needed for care of patients with COVID-19. Other training sites in both Utah and Colorado have begun to limit student OR participation as well. ربح المال مجانا Below lists again RVU COVID-19 policy governing expectations of students on clinical rotations, with a OR policy added, reflecting the changing situation. March 13, 2020 | Temporary Telecommuting Guidelines Good evening, The CDC has identified telecommuting or remote work as an effective infection control strategy for the coronavirus.  We are asking your immediate assistance to determine the feasibility to telecommute for full and part positions time that do not currently have a telecommuting agreement.  Manager and employee should connect as soon as possible to discuss below.  Once the best telecommuting approach has been determined, employees should begin the new arrangement. Temporary Telecommuting Approach Determine eligibility for working remotely by reviewing job description (located in M drive) to determine which Essential Job Functions can be completed remotely. These are the primary, numbered functions found at the beginning of the job description. Example: Participate in curriculum development, assessment and modification as a part of the colleges ongoing quality improvement and assessment program. Discuss if there are any Essential Job Functions which could be challenging to complete telecommuting. Determine what resources are needed to successfully telecommute. March 12, 2020 | COVID-19 Directive Follow-Up from the President All, Due to the COVID-19 outbreak, some of our testing sites for subject exams will not be able to accommodate student testing March 19th and 20th. If you were scheduled at one of the below facilities, your exam has been canceled: Salt Lake Community College (SLCC) Utah Valley University (Orem) Rocky Vista University both campuses If you were scheduled to test at one of the above sites, then look for a follow-up email today or tomorrow from Clinical Education regarding the rescheduling of your exam to a new date at a Prometric testing site. RVU will cover the costs of Prometric site testing. If you are scheduled to test next week at Utah State University (Logan, Vernal, Price) as of today, you will still be able to test at those locations.
