By Kristen Kaiser | Oct 13, 2020 | Comments Off on October 8, 2020 | Important Message Regarding COVID Guidelines and Off Campus Activities

October 8, 2020 | Important Message Regarding COVID Guidelines and Off Campus Activities   Dear Students, Thanks to all of you who have been following the CDC and RVU Communicable Disease safety guidelines both on and off campus.   The pandemic is far from over and your ongoing vigilance is appreciated.   Unfortunately, we continue to see examples of students who are meeting or socializing after-hours while ignoring safety guidelines, and also posting such activities on Social Media. رهان الخيل    We know that the majority of our students are doing their best to keep themselves and others safe, but I feel the need to underscore this serious issue.   Beyond the basic safety concerns, our reputation with our community training partners is at risk as they observe RVU students ignoring our own COVID guidelines. شركة بوين   The RVU Code of Conduct clearly states that “Students will not interfere with the rights, safety, or health of members of the University community…”   This is a professionalism issue and Student Affairs will investigate and respond to any online or in-person examples of disregarding these guidelines. Thank you for taking this matter seriously. bwin شركة   Sincerely, Dr. Tom Told   CONNECT WITH US Colorado […]

October 9, 2020 | CRT Weekly Update Dear RVU Family, Since the beginning of our response to COVID-19, we have committed to transparency and regular communications with our RVU community as we follow our guiding principles. However, we will work to keep our correspondences more concise.   Contact Tracing Cases: We have had 5 contact tracing cases this past week but so far no new positive COVID-19 cases are reported for faculty or students. How COVID-19 Spreads: The CDC has recently updated information regarding how COVID-19 spreads. It is now reported that airborne transmission can occur as smaller droplets or particles containing the virus can linger in the air for minutes to hours in certain conditions. Is it the flu or COVID? Many of the symptoms of COVID-19 and influenza are similar, so how do we tell them apart? You can learn more by watching this 3 minute video created by a reputable osteopathic family physician educator Jennifer Caudle, DO. MYTH: The mortality rate of COVID-19 is about the same as the flu.   FACT:   So far there have been over 1 million global deaths attributed to COVID-19 and these numbers will continue to rise as the novel virus continues […]
